Accessibility Statement

Last updated: 11 July 2026

Our commitment

Recroo is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible to everyone, regardless of ability or disability. We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standard and the UK Equality Act 2010.

Accessibility is an ongoing process. We actively test our platform, gather feedback, and fix issues as we discover them.

What we've done

  • Keyboard navigation: All features are navigable using keyboard only (Tab, Enter, Escape). Mouse is not required.
  • Screen reader support: Content is structured with proper semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and alt text so screen readers can interpret it correctly.
  • Color contrast: Text contrast meets WCAG AA standards (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
  • Responsive design: The interface works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices at any zoom level.
  • Focus indicators: Interactive elements have visible focus indicators so keyboard users know where they are.
  • Plain language: We avoid jargon where possible and explain technical terms clearly.

Known issues

We’re aware of the following accessibility gaps and are working to fix them:

  • PDF exports may not be fully accessible to all screen readers (we’re improving this)
  • Some complex data tables could benefit from better structure for screen reader users
  • Video content (if any) may not have full captions yet

If you encounter an issue not listed here, please let us know (see below).

Third-party tools

Recroo integrates with third-party services for sign-in (Google, Microsoft) and payments (Stripe). We cannot guarantee the accessibility of these external services, but we choose vendors that prioritise accessibility.
